This hammer is great for beating your meat to either tenderize it or flatten it out for certain recipes (ie: veal scallopini). And....does one really need an excuse or reason to own another hammer? Or to beat your meat? Beating your meat is often a really good thing....but I wouldn't beat my meat all the time if I were you.....sometimes you should just leave the meat alone and not beat it.
