AS FEATURED ON:

Maple Apple Dumplings

  • 2 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons raisins
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pecans
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup (the real stuff, baby!)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons water (rum if you're feeling spunky)
  • 1 teaspoon
  • 1 tube/container/thing or whatever you call it of ready made biscuits

Preheat oven to 350F

I'll be the first to admit that this is totally a Bachelor or Bachelorette recipe......for no other reason than you'll be using ready made can o biscuits. That being said, be prepared to have an open can of beer out on the kitchen counter and scratch yourself freely while you bake this one.

Simple: just put the apples, raisins, nuts, syrup,  butter, water/rum, and cinnamon in a saucepan and cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes.

Next, simply lay open them biscuits and roll or pat them to 1.5 times their original size, spoon on filling, then close that bad boy up and bake for about 10 minutes.   If you really felt compelled to use your own pastry dough instead of this short cut (that I so thoughtfully suggested), by all means, go for it. Just don't complain to me when you didn't have enough time to scratch all yer parts.
